Subculture BLOGG entry

My subculture is going to be on halo and call of duty games.

Summary of the Class

I actually enjoyed the assignments I think the fact that they weren't explained made them difficult. I did well on every assignment but not the last one. The biggest problem I had with all my papers was citation. I didn't use the correct citation on any of my papers mainly because I didn't know how to do it. I learned many new things from class for example how to make a website and a blog. I think the way the assignments were presented were poor if the assignments were presented better this would be a better class.

Reaction to the "Guest Speaker" Steven Johnson on "Where Good Ideas Come From"

I thought the guest speaker was good he covered alot of good topics. The only thing I wasnt please with was how fast he presented information. I tryed to take notes but it was impossible to do with him talking so fast.

Progress Report:How do you feel about your topic and/ or overall research paper progress at this point

I feel my research proposal is going well so far today I checked books out of the library to help with the research because just article sources and websites from online weren't enough. So far Ive only skimmed one book and it broadened my horizon on what exactly global warming is and its effects on the effects.

Annotated Bibliography Summary of article

Since 1960 our earth has undergone extreme weather changes. It's been raining in parts of the world it never has, it's been snowing in parts of the world it never has, snow fall in many areas has even decreased. Natural disasters have been happening three times as much; with an even greater force. All of these things are caused mainly by Global Warming. Humans are the main cause of Global Warming. With that being said green house gases are being released into the earths atmosphere do to humans not fully caring about our environment of the planet earth. This is being done by two major things, coal factories and car emissions. The gases released are being trapped in a massive gas pocket, allowing the earths temperature to rise to record breaking levels. According to, National Geographic.com " The rapid rise in greenhouse gases is a problem because it is changing the climate, faster than some living things may be able to adapt". It is a fact that if we as a humans don't act quick this global problem we all caused can easily kill off the species of every living thing.

Summary on College a Time Of Wonder by: Robert A. Bonfiglio

This story was about college and first year experience and how it effects students, ranging from different races, ages, genders, also commuters who commute to campus. The story goes into detail about how students may feel about the college campus. Programs discussing the trasition was also discussed in the paper I can relate to this because I was accepted into the Boro under the Edinboro Success Program. What I found really interested was that the story talked about danger warnings on campus something that wasn't addressed to myself when I did orientation. To sum this all up the story explained college life.
